Rize is one of the cities in northeastern Turkey bordering the Black Sea. The origin of its name is “Rize” Greek, which means “the beauty of the mountains” in Arabic, and it is a rural city famous for the cultivation of tea and kiwi and its population is estimated at about one hundred thousand people, according to 2012 statistics.

Castle of Zell
It is located to the south of the city of Rize, 12 km from its center. It stands in the middle of the “Vartna” valley of the city of “Chameli Himchin”, and it is 750 meters above sea level and consists of 8 towers.
You can visit it in winter and go up to the top to see the beauty of the charming Rize scenery and see its resorts covered in white snow.
River Fartna
It passes through the state of Rize, and is characterized by its clear waters, and on its banks are a group of restaurants and cafes. When visiting it, you can practice kayaking in summer and winter, as well as see the ancient bridges built over the river, such as the Micron Bridge, the Chaglayan Bridge, the Shenyuva Bridge, and finally the Coy Bridge
